The first half gives you a glimpse in to the authors background and the second a much deeper awareness of how things can break even the toughest of men and a road to dealing with the hand you’re dealt and not giving up .I have passed this book on to my ward mate as I think it needs to be shared. Would 100% recommend
This book takes you through a raw, emotional and very personal journey. Poor Mental Health is a vital conversation that needs to happen, and the author should be applauded for writing this book. Highly recommended read.
This book brought back many memories of the early eighties for me growing up near Arsenal and living in Islington and Caledonian road .Reading about Alan’s terrible disease and what he is going through physically and mentally is heartbreaking.it also reminded me of two friends of mine who were both diagnosed with ms. This book really shows how quickly life can be turned upside down in the blink of an eye.
